The successful tutor will have strong Science subject knowledge and experience supporting learners with SEND and/or SEMH needs. You will be confident adapting your teaching style, pace, resources and explanations to meet individual learning needs, while helping the learner build confidence and make positive academic progress. Experience supporting young people who have barriers to accessing mainstream education, including anxiety, school avoidance, disengagement or challenging behaviour, would be highly desirable. The ability to create a calm, structured and supportive learning environment will be essential. This is an in-person tutoring role and is not online work.
