Job Title: SEND Learning Support Assistant
Location: Bournemouth

Salary: £14.25 per hour
Job Type: Long-term Temporary
Are you passionate about supporting students with special educational needs (SEND) and helping them achieve their full potential?
Do you have experience working with SEND students, specifically those with autism, learning difficulties, and complex needs?
Do you have a GCSE in English and Maths (C or above) as a requirement for this role?
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to students with SEND in and out of the classroom.
- Assist in the delivery of tailored support, particularly for GCSE English and Maths.
- Help students engage with their learning through effective strategies.
- Monitor and record student progress and provide feedback to teachers.
- Support with social and emotional development to enhance overall student well-being.
- Work collaboratively with the SEND team to ensure the college’s inclusive ethos is maintained.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- GCSE English and Maths or equivalent qualification.
- Experience working with SEND students in a similar environment.
- A positive, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting students.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- The ability to use initiative and adapt to a dynamic environment.
- A passion for helping students achieve their potential and promoting their independence.
