SEND Teaching Assistant – Long-Term & Contract Roles Available

Bristol | September Start | Full-Time & Part-Time Opportunities

TeacherActive is currently working with a number of primary schools across Bristol who are looking to appoint experienced SEND Teaching Assistants for long-term and contract positions starting in September.

We are looking for passionate and patient individuals who can support children with a range of additional needs including Autism (ASD), ADHD, Speech & Language difficulties, SEMH needs and pupils with EHCPs.

These roles may involve:

• Providing 1:1 support for pupils with additional needs
• Supporting small intervention groups
• Working alongside class teachers and SENDCos to deliver tailored support plans
• Encouraging engagement, confidence and independence
• Supporting pupils both within the classroom and in specialist SEND provisions

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience working with children or young people with SEND
• A calm, positive and nurturing approach
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Experience supporting pupils with ASD, SEMH, ADHD or Speech & Language needs (desirable)
• A genuine passion for helping children achieve their full potential
