SEND HLTA - Haringey
Hours: 6 hours per week
Contract: Part-time, long-term
A primary school in Haringey is looking for an experienced SEND HLTA to support the SENCO and provide targeted support to pupils with additional needs.
Working Hours
The 6 hours can be arranged as either:

3 afternoons: 1:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.

2 mornings: 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. or 1:00 p.m.
The Role
You will work closely with the SENCO to support pupils with SEND and help deliver effective interventions and learning support.
The role will include:

Supporting pupils with a range of SEND needs.
-
Leading targeted interventions.
-
Providing 1:1 and small-group support.
-
Supporting pupils with behaviour and communication needs.

Covering lessons independently when required.
-
Working closely with the SENCO and wider school team.

Helping pupils develop their confidence, independence and learning skills.
Essential Experience
The school requires strong SEND experience. You must have previous experience as an:

HLTA
-
Experienced Teaching Assistant
-
Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
-
SEN Teaching Assistant
SEN Experience needed
-
Autism / ASD
-
ADHD
-
SEMH
-
Speech, language and communication needs
-
Moderate learning difficulties
-
Complex needs and challenging behaviour
You must be confident working independently, leading interventions and providing effective support to pupils with a range of additional needs.
