Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - Resource Base - Walsall

Aspire People are currently recruiting for a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a supportive primary school in Walsall.

This rewarding role will involve working within the school''s Resource Base, supporting a small group of pupils with additional needs (mainly ASD and SEMH) and working with a passionate team of support staff to create engaging lessons and activities.


The Role:
* Full-time HLTA position
* Delivering planned interventions and small-group learning activities
* Working closely with support staff to support pupils'' individual learning targets
* Promoting inclusion and helping pupils access the wider curriculum
* Supporting pupils with communication, social interaction, emotional regulation, and learning
* Working collaboratively with teachers, SEND staff, parents, and external agencies where required


The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Hold a HLTA qualification or have substantial experience working at HLTA level
* Have experience supporting children with SEND, including ASD and SEMH
* Be confident leading small-group learning and delivering targeted interventions
* Have a strong understanding of inclusive practice and strategies to support pupils with additional needs
* Be able to build positive, trusting relationships with children, staff, and families
* Be patient, adaptable, and committed to helping pupils achieve their full potential
* Have excellent communication, organisational, and teamwork skills
