The successful tutor will have strong English subject knowledge and experience supporting secondary-aged learners with SEND. You will be confident adapting your teaching style, pace, resources and explanations to meet individual needs, while helping the learner build confidence and make positive progress in English. Experience supporting young people with SEMH needs, anxiety, school avoidance, disengagement or challenging behaviour would be highly desirable. The ability to create a calm, structured and supportive learning environment will be essential. This is an in-person tutoring role and is not online work. The role may involve: Providing personalised one-to-one English tuition to a secondary-aged learner. Supporting a young person with SEND and/or SEMH needs.
