SEND English Tutor 

Location: Lewisham

Start date: September 2026 

Contract: Long-term

Pay: £25 – £30 per hour (Depending on experience) 

TeacherActive is currently recruiting for a dedicated and experienced SEND English Tutor to work in Lewisham on a long-term, full-time basis, starting in September.

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting young people with Special Educational Needs and helping them build confidence and progress in English.

Requirements:

The successful candidate must have:

• A minimum of 6 months’ experience working with SEND

• Experience working within an education setting

• Strong knowledge of supporting students with additional needs

• The ability to deliver engaging and accessible English sessions

• A patient, supportive and adaptable approach

• A genuine passion for helping students achieve their potential
