SEND Education Support Assistant - Southwark Location: Southwark, LondonRate: £22.78 per hourHours: Full-time Pertemps Social Care are currently recruiting for a dedicated SEND Education Support Assistant to join a Social Care service in Southwark. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) to achieve their goals, develop independence and reach their full potential.You will work as part of a supportive team delivering person-centred, outcome-focused support to young people with learning disabilities, autism, sensory needs and physical disabilities. Key Responsibilities Provide person-centred and outcome-focused support to young people with SEND. Support young people to achieve their EHCP outcomes and individual goals. Assist SEND Progression Mentors with key-working responsibilities. Facilitate individual and group activities designed to build confidence and independence. Support the development of English and Maths skills through tailored activities. Encourage participation in community activities and local networks. Connect young people with community services, digital resources and other support networks. Provide emotional, practical and positive behavioural support. Support individuals with behaviours of concern using appropriate Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) approaches. Provide personal care and manual handling support where required.
