Job Title: SEND Dance and Drama Teacher
Area: Oldham, Greater Manchester
Start Date: Monday 20th April 2026
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: -9001,250 per week (dependent on experience and responsibilities)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm

About the College:

Are you a creative, enthusiastic Dance and Drama Teacher with experience supporting students with special educational needs? This is a wonderful opportunity to inspire learners at a progressive college that supports young people aged 16-18 (KS3-KS4) with a range of complex needs including autism, communication differences, and physical or sensory impairments.

About the Role:

  • Deliver high-quality, tailored Dance and Drama lessons to learners primarily across KS5
  • Create engaging, accessible, and creative schemes of work that support EHCP outcomes
  • Adapt teaching to meet individual needs, sensory considerations, and communication styles
  • Build positive relationships with students, encouraging self-expression, teamwork, and confidence
  • Work collaboratively with the SENCO, therapists, support assistants, and parents/carers to provide a holistic approach

What We''re Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching Dance, Drama, or Performing Arts within an SEN setting (or strong SEN experience within mainstream)
  • A calm, patient, empathetic approach and strong behaviour management skills
  • Creativity, passion for inclusive arts education, and a commitment to supporting every learner''s development

To Be Eligible You Must:

  • Have the Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS on the update service OR be willing to apply for a new one
  • Provide two professional, child-related references
