      <description>Location: Derby | Salary: &amp;pound;160 - &amp;pound;240/day | Type: Temporary | Empowering Learning are recruiting a SEND Class Teacher to work in a special needs school in Derby. Experience working in a school setting and experience with SEND pupils is a must. QTS or QTLS is preferred but not essential, as attitude and personality are absolutely key. This role is to start in November 2026.  The ideal candidate will:   Class teacher experience (particularly in SEND)  Have the ability to teach primary and secondary age pupils.  Be highly organised with excellent communication skills  Have a desire to work with, inspire and support children from all needs and backgrounds  Have excellent behaviour management skills  Understand the expectations against the Teachers Standards.   Main Responsibilities:   Planning lessons and activities for whole class learning and group learning.
