Job description

We are seeking a patient and dedicated SEND 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a child in Key Stage 1 at a welcoming primary school in Liverpool. This role involves providing tailored 1:1 support to meet the childs individual needs and help them succeed both academically and socially.

Responsibilities

Provide focused 1:1 support for a KS1 pupil with SEND

Adapt learning activities to meet the childs needs and abilities

Encourage engagement, independence, and positive behaviour

Support with communication, social development, and classroom participation

Collaborate with the class teacher, SENCO, and parents to monitor progress

Ensure the child feels safe, supported, and included in all aspects of school life

Requirements

SEND experience in a UK school setting (essential)

Previous KS1 or primary school experience preferred

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

2 professional references covering the last 2 years

Empathetic, adaptable, and proactive approach to supporting children
