Job description

We are looking for a caring and experienced SEND 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join the EYFS base at a primary school in the Wirral. This role involves providing tailored 1:1 support to a child with additional needs, helping them to access learning, develop social skills, and thrive in a nurturing environment.

Responsibilities

Provide 1:1 support for a child in EYFS with SEND needs

Adapt activities to meet the pupils individual learning requirements

Encourage communication, independence, and positive behaviour

Support with personal care if required

Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and parents to track progress and set targets

Contribute to a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment

Requirements

SEND experience in a UK school setting (essential)

Previous EYFS or primary experience (preferred)

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

2 professional references covering the last 2 years

Patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to supporting young children
