SENCO Inclusion Lead

The role Reporting to the Headteacher and the Nursery''s Deputy Head, you will lead the strategy and day-to-day delivery of SEND provision across the school. You will also serve as Designated Safeguarding Lead and Senior Mental Health Lead. Lead and develop SEND policy and provision across the school, from pre-reception onwards. Maintain the SEND register and provision map, and monitor provision through the Assess, Plan, Do, Review cycle. Coordinate support for pupils with SEND, including EHCP reviews, transitions and access arrangements. Advise and train colleagues on quality-first teaching, interventions and the graduated approach. Work closely with families, the local authority and external education, health and social care professionals. Analyse assessment information, evaluate interventions and advise on effective use of staffing and resources. Lead and manage teaching assistants supporting pupils with SEND. Oversee mental health and wellbeing support, including the Zones of Regulation and daily mindfulness practice. Promote a culture of inclusion, safeguarding, equality and high expectations for every pupil. About you You will be an experienced teacher and effective whole-school leader who combines strategic thinking with practical, pupil-focused support. Qualified Teacher Status and a degree.
