Career Teachers is working with a welcoming primary school in Peckham seeking a SENCO to start in September 2025.
This role is perfect for a qualified primary teacher (QTS) who is passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and is ready to transition into a SENCO position

Requirements:
- QTS and experience teaching in a UK primary school
- Interest in SEN and inclusive education
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the provision for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
- Teach children in the ASD base once a week
- Coordinate and deliver high-quality support for pupils with additional needs, ensuring their access to an inclusive and engaging curriculum.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, parents/carers, and external agencies to achieve the best outcomes for students.
- Maintain and monitor the SEND register, ensuring appropriate interventions are in place.
- Ensure that statutory requirements such as Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) are fully implemented and reviewed regularly.
