Location: Home-Based Tuition, Ingatestone, Essex (CM4) Hours: 5 Hours Per Week, 1 Day Per Week Start Date: 7 September 2026 Subjects: GCSE Drama and GCSE Double Science About the Role Study Mind is seeking an experienced SEN Tutor to provide 1:1 face-to-face tuition for a 15-year-old Year 11 student with an EHCP who has been unable to attend school since Year 8 due to moderate to severe OCD and significant anxiety. The successful tutor will deliver GCSE Drama and GCSE Double Science, working towards summer examination entry. This is a relationship-led placement where calm, predictability and a low-pressure approach are essential, delivered alongside an academically ambitious programme. About the Student Our student is bright, thoughtful, kind and conscientious, with strong academic potential and real emotional insight. She achieved a grade 8 in Maths and is described as a high achiever who engages well with tutors. She is talented in music, theatre, dance and piano, and enjoys cooking and baking. She aspires to study politics at university and to pursue a career in acting or politics. She has a diagnosis of moderate to severe OCD alongside significant anxiety and panic attacks, and presents with extensive daily rituals which increase under pressure or unpredictability. School buildings and unfamiliar environments are significant triggers.
