We are looking for experienced SEN Tutors to support young people who have been out of school for prolonged periods and require bespoke, nurturing educational support. Many of our learners have EHCPs and benefit from practical, engaging sessions that help them re-engage with learning and build confidence.
About the Role

As a SEN Tutor you will:
- Deliver 1:1 tuition in Maths and English, tailored to individual needs
- Create engaging, practical sessions that support academic and personal development
- Work with learners with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Support learners with EHCPs, adapting approaches to meet specific outcomes
- Build positive, trusting relationships that foster resilience and progress
About you:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in UK schools as a:
- Teacher
- Teaching Assistant
- Cover Supervisor
- Tutor
- Mentor
- Or other education professional
- Strong understanding of SEN and inclusive education practices
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to suit individual learning styles
- Passionate about helping young people thrive in a supportive environment

Essential & Desirable Qualifications:
- Minumum of 1 years experience working within UK schools- ESSENTIAL
- Experience of working with learnerns with SEN- ESSENTIAL
- Experience of working with learners with SEMH needs, trauma or PEX- DESIRABLE
To be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must:
- Hold right to work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide references upon request
- Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
