SEN Tutor - 1:1 Support Outside of School

Are you a patient, adaptable and passionate educator with experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs?
We are currently seeking a dedicated SEN Tutor to provide personalised 1:1 and/or small group tuition outside of a mainstream school setting.
About the Role:
- Delivering tailored learning sessions to children with a range of SEN (including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and MLD)
- Working in alternative settings such as the child''s home, local library, or community centre
- Supporting pupils who may be out of school due to medical needs, anxiety, school refusal or awaiting a suitable placement
- Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons in core subjects (English, Maths, etc.)
- Monitoring progress and adapting teaching strategies to meet individual EHCP goals
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or significant experience in SEN education/tutoring
- Experience working 1:1 or in small groups with children with additional needs
- Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, nurturing approach
- Ability to work independently and liaise with families, external agencies or local authorities
- Flexibility to travel locally and work in various settings
- A valid enhanced DBS (or willing to obtain one)
