SEN Teaching Assistants (ASD & ADHD) - Dartford
We are working with a number of supportive and inclusive primary schools across Dartford who are looking for experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with ASD and ADHD on a full-time basis.
These are long-term roles, working 5 days a week, with the opportunity to go permanent for the right person.
The Role:
- Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with ASD and ADHD
- Supporting pupils with focus, engagement and emotional regulation
- Implementing structured routines and tailored support strategies
- Working closely with class teachers and SENCOs
- Creating a calm, consistent and supportive learning environment
- Supporting behaviour in a positive and proactive way
What we''re looking for:
- Experience supporting children with ASD and/or ADHD in primary schools
- A calm, patient and resilient approach
- Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
- Ability to build positive, trusting relationships with pupils
- Understanding of strategies to support attention, sensory needs and routine
