SEN Teaching Assistants

Tradewind Recruitment are looking for dedicated and nurturing 1-1 SEN Teaching Assistants to work at a range of secondary schools in the Ashford area. This role will be full time to start ASAP until July 2025 and the daily rate will be between -88.94 - -100 depending on experience.

The role:

• Working as a 1-1 Teaching Assistant with a student with SEN
• Providing individualised support to help them access the curriculum and achieve the learning goals
• Building trust and a strong supportive relationship with the student
• Assisting with academic tasks and classroom activities
• Working closely with teachers and other professionals to create an inclusive learning environment

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children or adults with additional needs or a relevant qualification is preferred but not essential
• Understanding the different learning styles to support the student
• Patience, empathy and excellent communication skills
• Hold or be willing to obtain an enhanced DBS disclosure, overseas police check (if applicable) and professional reference checks
• CV must cover the last 10 years employment history where possible
• Right to Work in the UK
