SEN Teaching Assistant - (Year 2) Location: Birmingham, B29 Weekly Rate: 460 - 500 per week Hours: Full-time, Term Time Only (8:30am - 3:30pm) Contract: Long-term with potential to become permanent Start Date: ASAPLong Term Futures are working with a friendly and inclusive primary school in Raddlebarn (B29) that is seeking a caring and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to join their specialist Speech and Language Hub.This long-term position involves providing support within a Year 2 classroom, focusing on pupils with Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), as well as children requiring help with fine motor skills, cognition, and personal care. You''ll work closely with the class teacher and SEN team to ensure every child can access learning, develop independence, and thrive both socially and academically.Role ResponsibilitiesProvide tailored 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SLCN and additional learning needsAssist pupils in developing communication and fine motor skills through structured activities and interventionsSupport children with aspects of personal care, including toileting and nappy changes where requiredAdapt learning materials and resources under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCoEncourage participation, engagement, and confidence across all learning areasCollaborate with external professionals such as speech and language therapistsCandidate RequirementsExperience supporting pupils with SEN, particularly Speech and Language or ..... full job details .....
