SEN Teaching Assistant - Weston-Super-Mare

We are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming SEN school in Weston-Super-Mare. This rewarding role offers the chance to support children with complex needs and challenging behaviours, helping them to engage in learning, develop life skills, and build confidence.

Responsibilities:

• Support pupils 1:1 and in small groups
• Work with teachers and the SENCO to deliver tailored plans
• Use positive behaviour management strategies
• Assist with personal care when required
• Encourage social, emotional, and academic growth

Requirements:

• Experience supporting children with SEN or behavioural needs
• Calm, patient, and resilient approach
• Knowledge of safeguarding procedures
• GCSEs in English and Maths (C/4 or above)
• Additional SEN/childcare qualifications desirable
