Teaching Assistant (Full -time, Temporary)Sunderland£444.60 - £450.13 per week (salary is depending on experience and/or qualifications)January 2026 July 2026The School and RoleWe are seeking a reliable Teaching Assistant to support two Upper Key Stage 2 pupils with SEMH needs in a small-group provision. The role includes supporting learning tasks set by the class teacher and incorporating sensory or movement breaks. The successful candidate will build strong relationships, maintain clear boundaries, and provide consistent support to help pupils stay engaged and regulated. Excellent attendance and punctuality are essential, as this provision operates daily.RequirementsThe desired SEND Teaching Assistant will have;- Experience of working with primary school aged children- Experience of working with pupils with SEND- A passion for the progress of primary school pupils- An ability to work as part of a team- Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualificationWhat we offerAs a SEND Teaching Assistant, part of our team, you benefit from: Excellent daily rates paid using the PAYE system.
