SEN Teaching Assistant An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a leading specialist education provider in the South Wales. This role is ideal for professionals with a passion for supporting children with a range of special educational needs, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), pathway-specific diagnoses such as PDA, profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), global developmental delay, and challenging behaviour. The SEN Teaching Assistant in this position will play a vital role in fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment, supporting children with diverse needs. Key Responsibilities as a Sen Teaching Assistant: Support and supervise learners with ASD, PDA, PMLD, Global Delay Disorder, or challenging behaviour Assist learners at the start and end of the school day Help teachers prepare classrooms for lessons and activities Work with learners in small groups or on a 1:1 basis to meet individual needs Support the delivery of lessons alongside class teachers Support learners during break times and lunchtimes Engage learners with classroom and outdoor activities Follow the organisation s behaviour management policies and procedures Requirements as a Sen Teaching Assistant: Minimum of 3 months experience working with children in schools, nurseries, or childcare environments; prior SEN experience is highly beneficial Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) or willingness to support ..... full job details .....
