SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Luton Contract Type: Full-Time (Term-Time Only) Salary: 100 - 120 per dayAbout the RoleWe are seeking a compassionate, patient and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist secondary school in Luton, supporting learners with a range of special educational needs and disabilities.The school provides a nurturing and highly personalised learning environment for young people aged 11-18, with a particular focus on supporting pupils with severe and complex learning needs. Learners follow individualised pathways designed to develop their academic progress, communication, independence, wellbeing and preparation for adulthood.As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and the wider support team to provide targeted 1:1 and small-group support, helping learners access the curriculum and achieve their individual EHCP outcomes.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide 1:1 and small-group support to learners with a range of SEND, including severe and complex learning needs.Support pupils to access a highly differentiated and personalised curriculum, adapting activities to meet individual needs.Develop positive, trusting relationships with learners and promote communication, confidence, independence and emotional wellbeing.Assist teachers with classroom activities, learning resources, observations and monitoring pupil progress.Support learners with their EHCP outcomes, life skills and preparation for adulthood, encouraging greater ..... full job details .....
