SEN Teaching Assistant - Islington Location: Islington, North London Start Date: ASAP or January 2026 Contract Type: Full-time, Term Time Only Salary: 85- 120 per dayVeritas Education are working in partnership with a welcoming two-form entry primary school in Islington who are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team.About the RoleThe successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), providing 1:1 or small group support to help children access the curriculum and achieve their full potential. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young learners.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport pupils with a range of SEN, including autism (ASC), speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH)Work collaboratively with the class teacher to plan and deliver differentiated learning activitiesAssist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategiesFoster a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environmentMonitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff and parents when requiredRequirementsEssential: Experience working with SEN children in a school or nursery settingA patient, caring, and proactive approach to supporting children''s learning and developmentExcellent communication and teamwork skillsA good understanding of safeguarding ..... full job details .....
