A supportive and inclusive school in Wellingborough is looking to appoint an SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping children with additional needs overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential.

Working closely with teachers and the SEN team, you will play an important role in supporting pupils both inside and outside the classroom, helping them develop academically, socially, and emotionally.







Key Responsibilities

  • Provide tailored support to pupils with special educational needs
  • Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning and understanding
  • Assist teachers in adapting activities to meet a range of learning needs
  • Encourage positive behaviour and help pupils remain focused throughout lessons
  • Support the development of communication, social, and independence skills
  • Build strong and positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families
  • Contribute to creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment






Ideal Candidate

  • Experience working with children or young people is desirable
  • Understanding of SEND and the challenges some pupils may face within education
  • Patient, caring, and adaptable approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to remain calm and positive in a variety of situations
  • Passion for supporting children to achieve their individual goals
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills within a school setting
