SEN Teaching Assistant - Full-Time Role in Blackburn (Start January)Location: Blackburn Start Date: January Contract: Full-time, Monday-FridayAre you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a primary-aged child with Autism (ASD) and ADHD in a welcoming Blackburn primary school.This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in SEN support, behaviour management, or classroom assistance who wants to make a real difference in a child''s education.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide 1:1 support for a pupil with ASD and ADHD throughout the school day.Help the child engage in learning, follow routines, and develop social and communication skills.Support behaviour regulation and emotional well-being using positive strategies.Work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to create an inclusive learning environment.RequirementsAvailable Monday to Friday (full-time).Previous experience in SEN, behaviour support, or classroom assistance (preferred).Ability to use consistent behaviour-management strategies and de-escalation techniques.Strong communication and teamwork skills.A proactive, compassionate approach to supporting children with diverse needs.DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one).Why Apply?Rewarding role supporting a child''s educational journey.Join a supportive school environment in Blackburn.Opportunity to develop your skills in SEN education. ..... full job details .....
