SEN Teaching Assistant

1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant BL2 Bolton Temp-to-perm Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a caring, patient and committed 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in the BL2 area of Bolton. This role would suit someone who has experience supporting children with additional needs and is passionate about helping pupils overcome barriers to learning. You will work closely with the class teacher and SEN team to provide consistent support to an individual pupil throughout the school day. Key responsibilities: Providing dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil with additional needs Supporting communication, concentration and engagement Helping the pupil access classroom activities and learning Encouraging independence and confidence Reinforcing positive behaviour strategies Supporting social and emotional development Working collaboratively with teaching and pastoral staff Recording observations and contributing to pupil progress Following individual support plans and school safeguarding procedures The successful candidate will have: A relevant Teaching Assistant, Education, Childcare or SEN qualification OR At least 6 months'' experience working with children in the UK, either professionally or voluntarily A genuine interest in supporting children with additional needs Patience, resilience and a calm approach Strong communication and relationship-building skills A commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing What Tradewind Recruitment can offer: Competitive daily ..... full job details .....
