SEN Teaching Assistant - Primary SchoolLocation: Merton, South LondonContract: Full-time Long-termStart: ASAPAge Range: PrimaryWe are currently recruiting for a caring, patient and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary SEN school in Merton.The school provides a supportive and nurturing environment for pupils with a range of additional needs. The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers and other support staff to help pupils access learning and develop both academically and socially.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SEN TA, LSA or someone with a strong background working with children with additional needs.The role will involve:Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basisAssisting with classroom learning and activitiesSupporting pupils with additional and complex needsHelping pupils develop their communication, independence and social skillsImplementing individual support strategiesProviding emotional and pastoral supportSupporting positive behaviour throughout the school dayWorking closely with teachers and other professionalsThe ideal candidate will have:Previous experience working with children with SENA patient, nurturing and encouraging approachConfidence supporting pupils with additional needsStrong communication and teamwork skillsThe ability to remain calm and consistentA genuine passion for helping children reach their potentialExperience with autism, complex needs, communication difficulties or ..... full job details .....
