SEN Teaching Assistant - Wirral Tradewind Recruitment are looking for a caring, resilient and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming specialist setting on the Wirral. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys making a genuine difference to pupils with additional needs and wants the security of a full-time, long-term role rather than short-term day-to-day work. You will be supporting pupils with a range of complex needs, including Autism (ASD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD). The role will involve helping pupils to engage with learning, develop communication and independence, regulate emotions and get the most from their school day. Some pupils require additional physical and personal support, so personal care may form part of the role. The role: Full-time SEN Teaching Assistant position Starting ASAP Long-term booking running until at least end of 2026 Supportive specialist school environment Opportunity to build valuable experience with a wide range of complex needs Consistent work with the same pupils and staff team We would love to hear from candidates with experience in SEN, care, support work, residential care, youth work or similar environments. Previous school experience is useful, but it is not essential if you have strong transferable experience supporting individuals with additional or complex needs.
