      <description>Location: Wigan | Salary: &amp;pound;95 - &amp;pound;99/day | Type: Contract | SEN Teaching Assistant  Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting for a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Wigan. This is a full-time, long-term role working 1:1 with a Year 5 pupil with Autism and ADHD, starting as soon as possible and continuing for the remainder of the academic year.  The successful candidate will have previous experience supporting children with additional needs and, importantly, experience working with children who experience mutism. You will need to be patient, nurturing and able to build a strong, trusting relationship with the pupil, whilst providing consistent support throughout the school day.  The Role:  Work 1:1 with a Year 5 pupil with Autism and ADHD.  Support the pupil with their learning, engagement and participation in lessons.  Use appropriate strategies to support a child who experiences mutism.  Build a positive and trusting relationship with the pupil.  Provide consistent emotional and pastoral support.
