Teaching Assistants (TA) - Full Time and Part Time RolesPrimary Schools in SouthamptonStart Date: September 2026Primary schools across Southampton are seeking dedicated, enthusiastic, and resilient Teaching Assistants (TA) to join their teams on both a full-time and part-time basis from September 2026.Key Responsibilities:Provide high-quality 1:1 and 1:2 support for pupils with a range of learning, social, emotional, and behavioural needs.Assist teachers in delivering engaging, differentiated, and accessible lessons.Support pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including those with additional behavioural and physical support requirements.Support pupils who may display physical behaviours that challenge, ensuring their safety and the safety of others.Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCOs, and external professionals to support pupil progress.Help create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to teaching staff.What We''re Looking For:Experience working with children or young people, particularly those with SEND, SEMH, or behavioural needs (preferred).Team Teach training is highly desirable, although training opportunities may be available for suitable candidates.Proven experience supporting pupils on a 1:1 and/or 1:2 basis.Experience working with pupils who display physical behaviours that challenge.A patient, calm, and adaptable approach to supporting children with diverse ..... full job details .....
