TeacherActive is proud to be working alongside a fantastic mainstream primary school in the NG10 area to recruit an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant. The school is well known for its welcoming atmosphere and inclusive approach, where every child is encouraged to grow in confidence and reach their full potential with the support of a dedicated staff team.

This part-time opportunity is available from September and will continue through to July 2027. Working Monday to Friday from 8:30am until 12:30pm, the successful SEN Teaching Assistant will provide dedicated 1:1 support for a Year 1 pupil with SEN, adapting learning activities, encouraging independence and helping to create a calm and positive start to each school day alongside the class teacher and SEND team.

The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will have:

• A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
• Experience supporting children with SEND within a primary school environment
• Previous experience delivering 1:1 support to pupils with additional needs
• A calm, caring and flexible approach to supporting learning
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
• A genuine commitment to helping every child succeed
