Salary: £95 - £115 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a lovely specialist school in the B21 area of Handsworth, supporting pupils aged 4-16 who all have a diagnosis of Autism and an EHCP. The school is undergoing an exciting transformation from a Primary Special School into an all-age Special School, with a strong vision to provide inspirational, aspirational and transformational education.

The school is looking to appoint SEND Teaching Assistants for day-to-day and long-term opportunities, with flexible options available depending on your availability. The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will support pupils across primary and secondary age groups, providing individual and classroom support while helping pupils develop their confidence, independence and engagement with learning.

The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience working with children or young people with SEND

• Experience supporting pupils with Autism / ASD

• Experience working with pupils with EHCPs

• Confidence supporting pupils across different age groups

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills

• A patient, resilient and adaptable approach
