About the RoleAs an SEN Teaching Assistant in Chester, you will play a vital part in supporting pupils with a range of needs, including autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, learning delays, SEMH requirements, sensory needs and more. Your role will involve:Providing 1:1 tailored support and small-group intervention to help pupils access learning.Assisting with personalised learning plans and adapting classroom activities to suit individual needs.Implementing strategies recommended by SENCOs, therapists and class teachers.Supporting pupils with emotional regulation, social skills and confidence building.Creating a calm, structured and encouraging learning environment that celebrates progress.Using positive behaviour approaches that promote safety, wellbeing and independence.Ensuring that all safeguarding procedures are followed consistently.
