We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in Cardiff. This role is ideal for someone with a genuine passion for supporting students with special educational needs and helping them reach their full potential. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide tailored assistance, ensuring an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students.
About the Role:
- Deliver targeted one-to-one and small-group support for students with additional learning needs, promoting active participation in classroom activities.
- Support the implementation of Individualised Education Plans (IEPs) by adapting lesson content and materials to meet each studentandrsquo;s specific needs.
- Foster the development of social skills, self-confidence, and independence within a nurturing and supportive environment.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and support staff to track student progress and maintain a consistent, joined-up approach to learning and development.
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive classroom culture that celebrates diversity and respects the unique strengths of every student.
The ideal candidate will:
- Demonstrated experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), preferably in an educational or school-based environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a proven capacity to develop positive, trusting relationships with both students and colleagues.
- Patient, flexible, and responsive approach to meeting the diverse needs and abilities of students.
- Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support are desirable but not essential.
