Do you want to make a real difference in the lives of children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)£ Are you caring, patient, and passionate about helping pupils overcome barriers to learning£ Supply Desk is currently seeking enthusiastic and committed SEN Teaching Assistants to join inclusive schools in Watford on a full-time, temp-to-perm basis starting in September 2025.
This rewarding role involves providing one-to-one and small group support for pupils with a range of needs, including autism, SEMH (social, emotional and mental health), and other additional learning requirements.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting pupils with SEND in the classroom and during interventions
- Assisting with the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs)
- Encouraging independence, social development and confidence
- Collaborating with teachers, SENCOs and support staff to adapt learning strategies
- Creating a positive, inclusive and nurturing learning environment
Weandrsquo;d love to hear from you if you have:
- Experience working with children with SEND (advantageous but not essential)
- A patient, empathetic and supportive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
