A nurturing and inclusive specialist school in Bushey is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team this September. The school supports pupils with autism and complex needs, providing a structured environment and outstanding multi-agency collaboration.
The Role
This full-time, term-time position is ideal for someone caring, proactive, and committed to helping children flourish. Whether you''re experienced in SEN or just starting out, you''ll be welcomed and supported by a knowledgeable and friendly team.
Key Duties
- Deliver 1:1 and small group support for pupils with autism and related needs
- Assist with tailored learning and therapeutic activities
- Encourage development of communication, social, and life skills
- Support emotional regulation and promote positive behaviour
- Work closely with teachers, therapists, and families to ensure consistent support
- Provide personal care when required
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to progress tracking
What Weandrsquo;re Looking For
- SEN experience (preferred but not essential)
- Calm, patient, and empathetic approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Eagerness to learn and engage in training
- Reliable, flexible, and passionate about inclusive education
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
