Pay: £100 – £110 per day

Are you a caring and dedicated individual passionate about supporting children with additional needs?
We’re seeking SEN Teaching Assistants to join welcoming schools across Portsmouth. This role involves supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs, helping them access learning and develop both academically and socially within a supportive and structured environment.
You will play a key role in working closely with teachers and SEN staff to provide tailored support, ensuring every child feels included, valued and supported in their learning journey.

• Collaborative teams including SENCOs, teachers and support staff

What You’ll Be Doing:
• Supporting pupils with SEN in the classroom and during activities
• Assisting with tailored learning plans and differentiated tasks
• Promoting independence, confidence and social development
• Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils
• Supporting behaviour management in line with school policies
• Working closely with teachers and SEN staff
• Helping create a safe, supportive and inclusive environment
What We’re Looking For:
• A patient, nurturing and empathetic approach
• Experience working with children or individuals with SEN (desirable)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A proactive and adaptable attitude
• Understanding of SEN and inclusive practices (desirable)
• GCSE Maths and English (A–C) desirable
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
