We''re seeking a compassionate, dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support a young pupil with autism and speech and language needs at a nurturing primary school in Bletchley. This role is about more than just assisting with learning-it''s about empowering the child to achieve their potential and fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
What You''ll Be Doing:
As a key member of our team, you will:
Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with autism and speech and language needs throughout the day.
Adapt learning materials and strategies to support the child''s unique needs, ensuring full engagement in class activities.
Collaborate closely with the class teacher, SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator), and external specialists to ensure the child receives the best support.
Monitor progress and behaviour, using EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan) targets to track and promote the child''s development.
What We''re Looking For:
We''re seeking someone who is:
Experienced working with children with SEND, especially ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder).
Patient, proactive, and caring with the ability to think on your feet and adapt quickly.
A strong communicator, both with children and as part of a collaborative team.
