Supply Desk are seeking a caring, patient, and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEN school in the Edgware area, supporting pupils with profound learning difficulties, starting this September.

This full-time role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs and is committed to helping pupils develop academically, socially, emotionally, and independently. The successful candidate will be compassionate, resilient, and adaptable, with a genuine desire to make a positive difference to the lives of pupils with complex learning needs.

You will work closely with teachers and specialist staff to provide tailored one-to-one and small-group support, helping pupils access learning and develop their communication, social, and life skills. The role may also involve supporting pupils with personal care and mobility needs, where required, while ensuring their dignity, safety, and wellbeing are always maintained.

Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored one-to-one and small-group support to pupils with profound learning difficulties
• Support pupils with their learning, communication, social development, and independence
• Work closely with teachers and other members of the school''s specialist support team
• Support pupils with personal care and mobility needs where required
• Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
• Cooperation with colleagues in order to deliver the best possible outcomes

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN is desirable
• Experience supporting pupils with profound learning difficulties or complex needs is advantageous
• Passion for the development of learning
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Patient, caring, and resilient approach
• Knowledge/Maintenance/Promotion of safeguarding
