Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs£ Weandrsquo;re seeking a compassionate and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 or with small groups in a warm and inclusive Ashford primary school.
About the Role:
As a SEN TA, youandrsquo;ll provide dedicated support to pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), helping them work towards their individual learning goals. Youandrsquo;ll work closely with class teachers to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated activities and support pupils with their routines, transitions, and behaviour management.
Key Responsibilities:
Build a strong, positive rapport with pupils to foster confidence, independence, and social skills
Assist in delivering individual support and care plans tailored to each childandrsquo;s needs
Support learning inside and outside the classroom with inclusive, engaging activities
Use consistent behaviour management strategies aligned with the schoolandrsquo;s policies
Record and monitor pupil progress and feedback to teaching staff
Work collaboratively with parents, school staff, and external professionals
Support pupil wellbeing, ensuring safety, inclusion, and emotional support throughout the day

Experience working with children with SEN, particularly those with EHCPs
A nurturing, patient, and resilient approach
Confidence using ICT to support learning
Strong communication and team-working skills
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
