A nurturing and inclusive specialist school in Milton Keynesandnbsp;is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their friendly team ASAP. The school supports pupils with autism and complex needs, providing a structured environment and excellent multi-agency support.
About the Role:
- Deliver one-to-one and small group support for students with autism and related needs
- Assist in the implementation of personalised learning and therapy sessions
- Support students in developing communication, social, and life skills
- Aid emotional regulation and apply positive behaviour management strategies
- Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, and families to provide consistent and coordinated support
- Provide personal care assistance when required
- Keep accurate records and contribute to monitoring and tracking student progress
The ideal candidate will:
- Experience supporting children or young people with SEN (desirable but not essential)
- A calm, patient, and empathetic manner
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
- Eagerness to learn and participate in relevant training opportunities
- Reliable, adaptable, and dedicated to promoting inclusive education
- Enhanced DBS clearance on the Update Service or willingness to apply
