We are seeking an exceptional SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team and play a pivotal role in supporting a Reception-aged child with special educational needs.

This is a unique opportunity for a compassionate, resilient and skilled practitioner to become a key adult in a child''s journey back into learning. You will begin by supporting the pre-admission and transition phase, helping to build trust, prepare the environment and work alongside a multi-professional team to create the foundations for long-term success.

What We''re Looking For

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has substantial experience supporting children with SEMH needs
  • Builds positive, trusting relationships quickly and authentically
  • Is confident using de-escalation and emotional regulation strategies
  • Has experience supporting children through transitions and reintegration into education
  • Can work effectively as part of a multi-agency team
  • Understands relational and trauma-informed practice
  • Holds Team Teach training or an equivalent positive behaviour support qualification
  • Experience supporting children with Autism and ADHD.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
Spencer Clarke Group work with a variety of schools covering a wide geographical area. We deal with teaching placements at Primary, Secondary, Special Education needs and college level as well as support staff positions also within these.
