SEN Teaching Assistant - Specialist ASD Provision

Salary: -93110 per day, depending on experience

Academics are working with a number of mainstream primary and secondary schools across East Sussex that have dedicated specialist SEN provisions, and we''re looking for enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join their teams.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to develop their SEN experience while working within a supportive school environment.

You could be supporting pupils with:

• Autism / ASD
• Speech and Language Needs
• Social Communication Needs
• ADHD
• Sensory needs
• Learning difficulties
• SEMH
• EHCPs
• Behavioural and emotional needs

Depending on the school, you may work within a small specialist base, supporting pupils individually or in small groups before helping them access wider mainstream activities where appropriate.

• Previous experience supporting children or young people
• A genuine interest in SEN
• A calm and patient approach
• Excellent communication skills
• Someone who can build positive relationships
• Reliability and consistency
• A willingness to learn and develop

Experience of ASD, SEN, education, care, youth work or support work would be advantageous.
