SEN teaching assistant
Smile Education are recruiting for an SEN teaching assistant to work in a Specila needs school near the sutton coldfield area. The role would be working across the primary age range, supporting students with small group work and doing 1:1 work with students.The role would be Monday to friday, working 8:30-3:30 and the school have a strong and inclusive staff team. The Responsibilities of the SEN Teaching Assistant:Have a focus on working with small groups and occasionally working 1:1.Develop and concentrate on building a relationship with the child, staff and family members.Constant and consistent communication with the class teacher, regarding progress and potential methods of work.Create a secure and positive environment for the child to learn and feel comfortable.To apply for this SEN teaching assistant role, you will need:An up-to-date DBS on the update service or dated within the last 12 months.A teaching assistant qualification or health and social care (level 2 or 3).Experience working with SEN children on a 1:1 basis or small groups work.Experience working with Primary school children.At least 2 professional references covering the last 2 years of work history.
