Location: Stoke-on-TrentStart Date: September 2026Contract: Full-time, temporary until Christmas (with potential extension and permanent opportunity)Working Hours: Monday to Friday, term time onlyOverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEN school in Stoke-on-Trent from September. This is a full-time position supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, with an initial contract running until Christmas. There is the opportunity for the role to be extended and potentially become permanent for the right candidate.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including ASD, SEMH and complex learning needsSupport pupils'' academic, social and emotional development in line with their individual education plans (EHCPs)Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging, adapted lessons tailored to meet diverse learning needsPromote positive behaviour using consistent and supportive strategiesHelp create a safe, structured and inclusive learning environmentSupport with personal care where required (training provided if necessary)Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and other professionals to support pupil progressRequirementsPrevious experience working with children or young people, ideally within an SEN or school settingA patient, empathetic and resilient approachStrong communication and teamwork skillsA genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional ..... full job details .....
