SEN Teaching Assistant Secondary Alternative Provision Location: LondonStart Date: ASAPContract: Full-time, Long-termPay: Competitive daily rate, dependent on experienceAre you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant with a strong background supporting secondary-aged pupils with SEMH and challenging behaviour?Do you have experience working within an Alternative Provision, PRU, SEMH school or similar specialist setting?TeacherActive is looking for a confident and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to join a secondary Alternative Provision supporting young people who require additional help with their behaviour, emotional regulation and engagement with education.The Role As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will: Support secondary-aged pupils with SEMH, ADHD and additional learning needsWork with pupils who may display challenging or dysregulated behaviourProvide 1:1 and small-group supportHelp pupils re-engage with learning and build confidenceUse positive behaviour management and de-escalation strategiesBuild strong, consistent and professional relationships with pupilsWork closely with teachers, pastoral staff and the wider SEND teamSupport pupils academically, socially and emotionally We are looking for someone who: Has previous SEMH experienceIdeally has experience within an Alternative Provision, PRU or specialist secondary settingIs confident supporting pupils with challenging behaviourHas strong behaviour management and de-escalation skillsIs patient, resilient and able to ..... full job details .....
