Remedy Education is looking for caring, patient and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with special educational needs in schools across South East London.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about helping children and young people overcome barriers to learning, build their confidence and reach their full potential.

The Role

• Provide one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with SEN.

• Assist teachers with classroom activities and individual learning plans.

• Support pupils with additional needs, which may include autism (ASD), ADHD and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.

• Encourage positive behaviour, engagement and independence.

• Adapt support to meet pupils'' individual learning and developmental needs.

• Help create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.

• Work closely with teachers and other professionals to support pupil progress.

The Ideal Candidate

• Have previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN.

• Be patient, understanding and adaptable.

• Have strong communication and relationship-building skills.

• Be confident supporting pupils with additional learning or behavioural needs.

• Be able to remain calm and consistent in challenging situations.

• Be reliable, proactive and committed to safeguarding.

Experience in a specialist SEN setting would be beneficial.
