As an SEN Teaching Assistant we require you to support children diagnosed with ASD and ADHD within a Secondary School setting.The school has strong supporting team who strives to be the best in every aspect of education, facilitating a network of dedicated staff who want to make a difference to young pupils future.Role: SEN Teaching AssistantStart: ASAPContract: Full timeLocation: Islington, North LondonSchool Type: SecondaryRate: 95-115 per dayIdeal Candidate:Assisting in the development of appropriate resources, schemes of work and teaching strategies.Extensive SLD/ASD/SEMH and Complex needs experience preferably.Supervising and supporting a classroom in a group setting.Supporting with behaviour management.Undertaking structured and agreed learning activities/teaching programmes, adjusting activities to ensure achievement of learning goals.Establishing good relationships with children, acting as a role model.Promoting the inclusion and acceptance of all children, supporting difference and ensuring that all have equal access to opportunities to learn and develop.Requirements:Basic knowledge of SEND and learning barriers.Some knowledge of strategies in working with young people with challenging behaviours.Safeguarding experience.Experience of working directly with young ..... full job details .....
